Shopping Country Style...

Hope you all had a nice Easter and relaxing break. I enjoyed my time with family. The weather was lovely here in Ireland which was great as everyone was out and about. We went shopping and visited Lough Key Forest Park. I picked up a few country style items for my home- as you all know I like to keep it country!
The china mug is from the Katie Alice Collection, it is really pretty "Have a cup of tea and fly away with me.." The Katie Alice Collection has some really nice vintage inspired china and homeware.
The image in the middle is my new mat for my hallway- how cute is it! I bought it in Vobe Interiors based in Carrick on Shannon, Leitrim, Ireland but the good news is they have an online shop too for any of you further afield.

Inspirational Interiors I Love...

Here are some inspirational interiors I took from my pinterest page- Interiors I like with a little hint of country to them from wood and stone to sheep inspired decor.

The first image is from Baobab Interiors. I love the use of the wood and steel, it is quirky, contemporary and also warm and inviting.

How about this cute country cottage look with the stone and wood. This is really pretty and homely looking.

The image below is from Citizens of Fashion. It is from interior designer Dephine Krakoff's sophisticated New York townhouse that she shares with her designer husband, Reed Krakoff and their children. I love the sheep!

Which is your favorite, which home inspires you?

Forest Park Visit

Have you ever been to Lough Key Forest Park near Boyle in County Roscommon. It is a lovely place to go for a day out or a Sunday evening. Here are a few photographs I took when I visited at the weekend. We went for a walk around the park. There are lots of activities- playgrounds, zip wires, tree top canopy walks, caravan and camping and electric bikes and segways for hire. I would highly recommend it for a day out. For more info visit the website Lough Key Forest and Activity Park

Happy Easter Everyone :)

Happy Easter Everyone, hope you all have nice plans for the weekend. The weather is fabulous today in Ireland. I spent the morning washing windows and pottering about doing some cleaning around the house. I am looking forward to the few days off work. Don't eat too much Easter eggs!

Is Summer on its Way???

Hello Everyone! As some of you already know, I was really lucky to win a place on the Blogging your Way e-course by Holly from Decor8. I enrolled yesterday, so I am looking forward to starting it on Monday. It is a long weekend here in Ireland for Easter and I get an extra day off work too which is good. The weather is fabulous here with the sun shining. Yesterday I was out and about, below are some photographs from my day. Have you any nice plans for Easter?

Images from top left; new dresser in my living room with some small decorations for Easter, view over the lake from the farm, rolled field, primroses on my kitchen table.

Some shopping & being busy

Here are a few items I bought about 3 weeks ago. I have been looking out for a nice bag since Christmas and came across this satchel bag a few weeks ago and decided to buy it. It is from River Island. The jumper I picked up in Heatons for €13.00 which was a real bargain.

I am finishing up my course this weekend and my written assignment is due on Wednesday, I have it more or less completed now. I am delighted as I hope to have more free time to enjoy myself and also get ready for Decor8 Blogging your Way e-course next week. I am also looking forward to Easter and the weather improving. What have you been up to lately?

Winner of Blogging Your Way e-course

It has been well over a week since I last blogged. Things have been hectic with me between working late and doing a part time course at the weekends, I have no free time to myself. To top that off, I have now come down with some virus and have spent the day in bed and on the sofa. So as you can imagine I am really under the weather and to top that off, I have a deadline for an assignment and training session for my course for the weekend after next.

The good news it though, I entered Holly from Decor8's Blogging Your Way e-course contest to win a place on her next course and guess what??? I WON- I am delighted as I have never had the opportunity to participate in an e-course and envied everyone who got the chance to take part in Holly's Blogging Your Way Course. If you haven't heard about Blogging Your Way, you have to visit the website. The course focuses on creativity and writing with heart, soul and passion.

Decor8 is my favourite blog- full of wonderful images and content- really interesting and personal too, so if you haven't checked it out yet, you must start following it.

Sorry for the short post but when I am feeling better I will be back...
